Cotton Inspiration for Your Wedding

A couple months ago, we put together a guest post about cotton for Forget.Me.Knot Weddings. We thought we’d share it with you today! When you think of cotton, the first thing that jumps to mind is most likely t-shirts or something equally unexciting–but the humble cotton boll is making quite a name for itself in the wedding world. We are totally smitten with the rustic feel of it–plus, it’s so budget-friendly! Here is some of our favorite inspiration:

1. Ceremony Backdrops.

Jen of Green Wedding Shoes created this lovely ceremony backdrop for a photoshoot. We love the apothecary jars filled with raw cotton.

2. Table Decor.

For this table, cotton stuffed in mason jars, birch wood, and jars wrapped with twine give a rustic look.

This simple centerpiece was created with mason jars, burlap, sticks, cotton, and candles.

3. Bouquets and Boutonnieres.

Cotton also mixes well with other florals, as shown in these adorable bouquets via Green Wedding Shoes and Style Me Pretty

And cotton makes the cutest, puffiest boutonnieres! Don’t they look just like little clouds? via Ruffled,  Postcards and Pretties, and Green Wedding Shoes.
